whenever i start the program a message comes up:
Microsoft Office Access can't change the working directory to 'c:\data.'
verify that the drive is valid and the path is 260 characters or less in
length.

Anyone have a clue as to what i can do to solve this problem. Its preventing
me from using the program.

Access is telling you that it can't find this directory. Either create one
or change the default folder under Access Options -> Popular -> Default
database folder to one that does exist.
